In-house marketing
The awkward question is not whether the copy is good. It is whether you can show where the number came from.
Every claim carries a state and a source
Claims move unproven to asserted to verified. A claim cannot skip a state and cannot reach verified without a source. These are guarded transitions in code, not a status field somebody can set by hand.
Seven rules, six of which block
Unproven claims, unsourced numbers, quotes with no registry backing, missing AI disclosure, channel length overflow and guardrail contradictions all stop content from shipping. Thin content warns rather than blocks, because length is a judgement call.
- Unproven claim: cited id missing or not shippable
- Unsourced number: a statistic no cited claim covers
- Fabricated entity: attribution with nothing behind it
- Missing disclosure: the AI disclosure tag is absent
- Channel overflow: over the hard limit for that channel
- Guardrail violation: contradicts a rule you set
There is no override flag
A gate with an override is a suggestion. If a rule is wrong for your business, the fix is the claim registry or your own guardrail, both of which are data you control.
Questions
What counts as a source?
You decide. We enforce that one exists and record what it was.
Does this replace legal review?
No. It catches the mechanical failures, unsourced numbers and invented quotes. Judgement stays with your team.
